A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I liked to draw as a kid, and it led to a career in marketing. After a couple of graphic design classes, my college advisor asked me if I wanted to work as a receptionist for an ad agency. I quickly took him up on the offer and never looked back.

Wanting to learn everything about the advertising business, I did design work, called on clients, managed vendors and helped run the agency. Later promoted to art director and production manager, I worked with many different accounts including including Thompson & Formby, Red Devil, Porter-Cable, Maybelline, and Dr. Scholl’s.

Moving a few years later to a small town, I accepted a job working at the local newspaper as an account executive. It took my career to a new level giving me an opportunity to help grow the paper while becoming involved in a rapidly growing community.

With the paper’s blessing, I also started an ad agency. One of my clients was BankTennessee, and now, I work for them as senior vice president of marketing.

Marketing and advertising have filled my entire life. Making people fall in love with your brand. It’s what I do. One of my former ad agency buddies said, “That’s advertising! You have to love it.” And, I do. It’s me. I can’t imagine doing anything else with my career.

…AND A LITTLE ABOUT ROCKY A rescue from the Collierville Animal Shelter, he came into my life several years ago. He loves going to work with me, enjoys trips around town, and appreciates a good nap. He’s a great little buddy.
